BEIJING (Reuters) – A Taiwanese activist on trial in China confessed on Monday to attempting to subvert the Beijing government, according to videos of his hearing released by Chinese authorities, although his wife refused to recognize the court’s authority.
Oilouch holds bilateral meetings in Apia, Samoa
Apia, Samoa-Vice President Raynold Oilouch, who represented Palau in the Pacific Islands Forum here also held bilateral talks with several nations. Oilouch met with representative of Germany, Taiwan, Canada, United States, Cuba, Republic of the Marshall Islands and Japan as side events of his attendance of the 48th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders’ Meeting.
Taiwan Embassy donates 1,800 lbs. of taro
Taiwan Embassy in Palau donated a total of 1,800 lbs. taro to the Ministry of Health, the Bureau of Aging & Gender (MCCA), and Sonsorol and Hatohobei community at Echang on September 7, 2017. Each had received 600 lbs. of taro cultivated in the Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) at Nekken, Aimeliik.
