Mr Andy ‘Reidy’ Reid, a lifeguard from the Australian television program Bondi Rescue, arrived in Palau on the Palau Paradise Express last Friday!
Bondi Rescue is a famous Australian television program, which follows the daily lives and routines of the Waverley Council professional lifeguards who patrol Bondi Beach, an iconic beach in Sydney Australia. The factual television program became popular in Palau in the 2000s, with the program broadcast on the National Geographic channel.
Reidy is in Palau to participate in a range of activities, including workshops and training with aquatic sport organisations and delivering water safety workshops for staff at the main resorts and hotels that feature beaches, swimming pools or water features on their properties.
“We’re excited to co-host Reidy, with Palau Visitors Authority, in Palau this week” said Ambassador Richelle Turner “In what is our 30th year of diplomatic relations, this visit is a tangible demonstration of our shared love of the water, whether it be swimming, boating, fishing, diving or snorkeling and the importance of water safety for our respective communities and tourists.”
