Attention Deficit Disorder
In His high-priestly prayer, Jesus prays to the Father concerning His disciples: “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth”
(John 17:17). The Word of God is able to purify us. The words of Christ have the power to cleanse us—“You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you” (15:3).
That was an amazing prayer. I believe he also prayed for us, our children and grandchildren and their children, today’s students of Christ.
Last night I had a strange dream. It was so scattered as I can be at times. I was looking for a place I can’t remember what or where and why. I realized my ADHD was acting up.
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder also called: ADHD,
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a neuro-developmental disorder characterised by executive dysfunction occasioning symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity and emotional dysregulation that are excessive and pervasive, impairing in multiple contexts, and otherwise age-inappropriate.
In my dream I ran back and ford, up and down the hill. It was exhausting.
ADHD kicked in my mind while I was asleep. Strange.
I’m so forgetful I cant remember the last word I said. I can be a nuisance to converse with. It seems it’s getting worse as I get older. Reading the Scripture is a great help. If you’re somewhat like me, you could try washing your brain with the WORD.
I woke up and prayed, Lord please still my mind and help me go back to sleep. I opened the Bible app and listened to the Gospel of John. I fell asleep so quickly I doubt I made it to chapter two.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
Have a great weekend ♡
