Ms. Eudora Lucio, a former Customs and Border Protection employee, convicted of thirteen criminal offenses involving misconduct in public office, theft of government property, money laundering, use of computer in separate crime and tampering with government records, will start serving her jail sentence today according to Commitment Order on April 21, 2017.


Ms. Lucio was sentenced to one year imprisonment for each of the 13 counts and she will serve them concurrently. The actual time in jail will be one year.

Additionally, she received 10 year probation for each count which will also run concurrently.

Total fines of $65,000 will be paid in monthly installments after she completes her prison term and timely payment of fines serves as one of the conditions of her probation, this according to Independent Sentencing Order. [/restrict]
