Attorney General’s Office will proceed with criminal charges against Teddy Teodoro after the court denied Teodoro’s motion for dismissal this week.

Teddy Teodoro was charged with Trafficking of Controlled Substance and Possession of Controlled Substance based on an incident where he picked up a crate from Customs that contained about 500 grams of methamphetamine.  The crate was sent from the Philippines addressed to him.

In July, Court ordered statements made by Teddy Teodoro to the police inadmissible due to police’s failure to follow due process.

After the court issued order suppressing the statements, Mr. Teodoro filed to dismiss the case citing lack of probable cause.

Prosecutor countered saying there were other evidence to provide probable cause and the court this week denied Teodoro’s motion to dismiss and allowed the Government to pursue prosecution.
