Delegate Dilmai Saiske of the Ngarchelong State had hosted a dinner for the graduates of Ngarchelong Elementary School yesterday evening at the Penthouse Hotel.
Ten graduates from the Ngarchelong Elementary School, one of the medium schools in Palau, together with their parents and the special guests namely Pastor Hiob Ngirachemoi, Vice Speaker Ngirablou J. Sambal, and Legislators Jason Ngiratrang and Abraham Osima had gathered at the hotel yesterday to congratulate the graduates.
Delegate Dilmai said that after she got elected in 2016, she had been invited to attend the graduation promoting class of the school in 2017 and since then she had decided to host a dinner with the graduates all throughout her term as delegates.
Yesterday’s dinner with the graduates was the second time that the Delegate had hosted.
“I decided that giving too much envelope to the kids without sitting with them and talking with them is to me…I don’t believe in that, so I decided that every promotional day, for as long as I’m a delegate, we’ll have a dinner with the kids and parents,” Saiske shared.
“So the purpose of it is to congratulate them and I will give them my special remarks,” Saiske added.
Saiske is known for her long years of service in the field of education.
Saiske said that she strongly believes about the good things that go with the personal interactions with the kids.
Saiske told the kids in her remarks, “My wish for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to be, your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small.”
“You never need to carry more than you can hold, and while you’re out there getting where you’re getting to, I hope you know somebody loves you, and want the same things for you,” she added.
