The truck matched the description of a truck the Department of Labor reported missing earlier that day. Police discovered the license plate on the gray Nissan Frontier was registered to a different vehicle.
When police approached the truck, the driver drove away and ignored multiple attempts by police to pull him over, court documents state.
The truck was reportedly seen darting between vehicles while traveling at about 60 mph. At one point, it almost collided with another car, according to the magistrate’s complaint.
The driver led police officers through areas of Tamuning, Tiyan and Sinajana before the chase ended in Chalan Pago.
The driver entered a Chalan Pago road and drove into someone’s backyard before the truck crashed into a police car that was stopped, according to court documents.
