The oath of office was administered at the Palau Supreme Court in Koror, where Sakuma was joined by family members and supporters who attended the ceremony.

Ngaraard’s newly elected legislators are scheduled to take their oaths of office today, a step that will formally inaugurate the 12th Ngaraard State Government and allow the new administration to begin its work.

Mr. Sakuma was one of the four gubernatorial candidates that ran as write-in candidate in the 12th Ngaraard State general election.  One of the key issues that dominated the election campaign was the handling of the TACMOR project in Ngaraard State and how that project will benefit the people of Ngaraard.
