February 16, 2017 (Koror, Palau) Office of the Attorney General filed another drug case this month, charging Dwayne Ngirailid with Trafficking of Controlled Substance, a felony offense punishable by a sentence of not less than (25) years imprisonment and fine of not less than $50,000 dollars.

In an affidavit of probable cause filed by Officer Lebilau Sebalt of the Belau Drug Enforcement Task Force, they received information from Confidential Informant that Mr. Ngirailild was selling methamphetamine or “Ice”.
Based on the information, a controlled buy was arranged between the Confidential Informant and the alleged seller Mr. Ngirailild.
On November 3, 2016, at the pre-arranged location, officers of the Belau Drug Enforcement Taskforce observed CI obtaining 2 straws of suspected methamphetamine from the defendant. Items were field tested and were found positive for methamphetamine or “ice”.
The suspect Mr. Dwayne Ngirailild is a known drug user and is currently on probation for Possession of Controlled Substance. He was not immediately arrested at that time pending investigations of further drug connections. [/restrict]
