June 1, 2017 (Koror, Palau) Palau Hotel yesterday showcased its newly revamped interior and exterior at the re-opening ceremony after its complete renovation after over 30 years doing business in Palau.
When it was first built in 1982, it had 32 rooms and now has expanded to 48 rooms with plans to add 3 penthouses on fifth floor.
Investment group headed by Ming-Huei Lee, is an FIB licensed business from the Republic of China (Taiwan), and has been in Palau for over 30 years. The investment group is closely related family group and according to Mr. Santy Asanuma, the younger generation of this family had taken over the management and now had updated and upgraded the facility.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to commemorate the re-opening. Vice President Raynold Oilouch, Senate President Hokkons Baules, His Excellency Ambassador Tseng of the Republic of China, Delegate Lencter Basilius, Minister Elbuchel Sadang and Dr. Ming-Huei Lee cut the ceremonial ribbon. Event was witnessed by many local business people and community leaders. It followed with a Guinness World Record for most people signing t-shirts simultaneously as well as raffle drawing and prizes.
