Palau is rolling out a new small grants program to fund grassroots efforts in its 2026 “Just Say No” anti-drug campaign, with up to $5,000 available for community-led projects.

KOROR, Palau — The Office of the President has opened applications for a small grants program to support nationwide anti-drug efforts in 2026, declared by President Surangel S. Whipps Jr. as the “Year to ‘Just Say No’ to Illegal Drugs.”
The initiative, supported by Taiwan, will fund community-based projects promoting prevention, education, treatment and recovery. Eligible applicants include community groups, civil society organizations, local governments and faith-based groups.
Projects can receive up to $5,000 and must be completed by Dec. 31, 2026, with a final report due Jan. 31, 2027.
The program prioritizes education on substance use, youth-focused prevention and community support efforts such as outreach, peer programs and reintegration for people in recovery. Funded activities must be drug-free and promote healthy lifestyles.
Applications are available online and must be submitted in person by April 30, 2026, at the Office of the President in Koror.
