Palau is preparing for the first state visit of Republic of China – Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen to the country this March 21-23.
In the last few days leading to the most anticipated state visit, people can be seen cleaning up the roads and adorning the streets of Palau with the two nations’ respective national flags.
This is the second time that a Taiwan president is visiting the country since 2006 when Former Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian visited Palau as part of the tour to visit its Pacific Island allies.
