On Tuesday, April 6, 2021 the Board of Directors of the Palau Chamber of Commerce (PCOC) met with the Vice President of the Republic of Palau and Minister of State J. Uduch Sengebau Senior and her Management Team.
The PCOC was represented by its President, Ms. Irene Olkeriil, Vice President, Mr. Samuel Scott, its Treasurer, Mr. Brandon Cruz, and Board Members Mr. Francisco Ueki Jr, Ms. Vivien Ngirarsaol, and Mr. Peter Bonini. PCOC Assistant, Ms. Jada Avesani, also went to the meeting with the Board.
The meeting involved presentations of the various mandates of the Ministry of State and its assigned bureaus and divisions, followed by a presentation of the World Host Programme by Mr. Peter Bonini of the Palau Chamber of Commerce. A possible partnership between the Palau Chamber of Commerce and the Vice President and her Ministry of State was significantly respected and asked by both sides to be formed.
The outcome of the meeting was that, definitely a strong private-public sector partnership which has long been overdue was formed on such first date. PCOC and VP/MOS will work together towards building a strong relationship that will benefit both the public sector as well the community and the private sectors of the Republic of Palau.
