Koror, Palau- Palau Conservation Society (PCS) kicks off the month of September with great news as Bank of Hawaii (BOH) makes their annual CPC contribution. For 13 years, BOH has been a loyal and kind Corporate Partner for Conservation (CPC) to PCS. New BOH Vice President and Island Manager Ms. Christina Michelsen visited PCS office for the first time and was very eager to learn about PCS and all its ongoing projects.


She presented a check donation of $2,000 which was graciously accepted by PCS Board Chairman Dr. Minoru Ueki and PCS Executive Director Bola Majekobaje. Ms. Michelsen expressed that BOH is very delighted to support the work of PCS as the work they do have a direct positive impact to the community. She expressed that BOH support organizations in their local communities that contributes positively to the people of the community and PCS one of the most valued organization in Palau. Ms. Michelsen further expressed that BOH will continue to support PCS and the important work they do for Palau.

Chairman Ueki and Executive Director Majekobaje were humbled by Ms. Michelsen’s visit. They expressed their sincerest gratitude and presented her with a small token of appreciation in the form of PCS shirt & hand fan. They thanked her and BOH for their continued support. Chairman Ueki gave her an open invitation to visit PCS office & staff if she had any questions concerning the work of PCS and Director Majekobaje invited her to PCS’s Annual Fundraising Gala in October which she graciously accepted.

PCS is thankful for the renewed support from BOH and looks forward to working in close collaboration with Ms. Michelsen. The donation from BOH is part of PCS’ Corporate Partners for Conservation Program (CPC).
