The Palau National Communication Corporation (PNCC) gave a 1GB free mobile data to all PalauCel subscribers on April 19 to compensate for those who were previously affected by the malfunction on their Wi-fi and HomeNet login page services.
All active PalauCel mobile numbers received 1GB of FREE data, automatically activated on April 19 and valid for the next 8 days. To use the free data, customers can just turn on mobile data in their smartphones.
For help with using mobile data, customers may call PNCC at 488-9000, 488-9600, or 587-9000, or visit PNCC offices in Koror and Airai. The mobile data instructions are also posted on DTV Channel 1 and on the back of Airtime cards.
PNCC offered apologies that the restoration of the Wi-Fi and HomeNet login page service is taking longer than expected due to the complex repairs required.
The problem is with the system that supports the login page, not the Internet connection. PNCC technicians have been working with off-island technical support to transfer the login page service to an entirely new system as soon as possible.
For customers with PalauNet and HomeNet accounts, PNCC will make adjustments on their bills for the outage period.
Customers with Prepaid Internet Cards that were affected during this outage are requested to bring their internet card to PNCC Customer Service in Koror or Airai to make a trouble report to request credit.
Mr. Leo Ben Teriong, PNCC Acting General Manager, commented, “PNCC apologizes for the inconvenience that the Wi-Fi and HomeNet login page issues may have caused, and we sincerely thank you for your continued support and understanding.”
