Wastewater Discharge
This is a PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT by the Palau Public Utilities Corporation (PPUC).
Please be advised that due to a malfunction, raw sewage is discharging into the waters and mangroves around the A-8 pump station near the Diangel (across the Bai) in Ngerkebesang, Koror.
[restrict] The public is advised not to participate in any water sports and/or fishing activities in the waters between Ngerkebesang Diangel and the Echang Lagoon until further notice.
PPUC apologizes for the inconvenience and asks for your understanding while crews make the necessary repairs. Crews are currently pumping sewage with a pump truck at the pump station to minimize discharges. Please contact PPUC Customer Service should there be any questions
