On Tuesday November 19, 2024, the Palau Public Utilities Corporation (PPUC) attended the Energy Transition Forum, a side event of the Development Symposium hosted by the Ministry of Finance. The Energy Transition Forum provided a platform for experts and leaders from each of the key entities in the energy sector, to present on the impact of clean energy solutions on consumers, infrastructure, and the future of sustainable power.
PPUC’s Electrical Power Operations (EPO) Manager r. Clarence Kitalong, Jr. delivered a presentation on the challenges and opportunities in grid integration of renewable energy. CEO Frank Kyota joined an Energy Leaders Panel to further discuss challenges and opportunities of renewable integration as well as needed regulatory changes to support energy transition.
