The National Emergency Committee (NEC) is pleased to inform the public that all our 58 repatriated residents have taken their final COVID-19 test, and results are all negative. NEC takes this opportunity to appeal to the community to show support for the repatriated residents as they finish their last days of being monitored in the community. It is safe to say that they are free of COVID-19, but are asked to continue to take the following precautionary measures:
- Frequent handwashing and respiratory etiquette
- Limiting movement to essential travel within the community
- Limiting contact with others in the community
- Monitoring of their health and reporting relevant symptoms immediately
The measures previously taken by these individuals went beyond what is recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization. All of them have been tested multiple times with negative results. Let us welcome them back into our community as we have welcomed the many others who have come through the rigorous quarantine and testing procedures.
