Five states benefited from UNDP/Local Governance Strengthening Project through the Ministry of State-Domestic Affairs Division.
The five pilot states, Aimeliik, Kayangel, Ngeremlengui, Melekeok and Hatohobei received computer network server systems to support good governance through strengthening public finance management, collection of state laws, and other information critical to state administration and operations.
The network servers will serve the purpose of backing up critical information in each State executive and legislative offices as well as link them to the Domestic Affairs which serves as a depository of all public laws, regulations, procedures and plans.
The hardware, installation and training were made possible by UNDP Local Governance Strengthening Project.
