KOROR, Palau — With one day remaining in the Pacific Mini Games 2025, Tahiti has extended its dominant lead in the overall medal standings, closing Day 7 with a commanding 59 gold medals.

Trailing behind are Samoa with 27 gold, followed closely by Fiji and Australia with 22 each. Papua New Guinea has earned 16 gold medals, while the Northern Mariana Islands hold 9. New Caledonia, Palau, and the Marshall Islands each have 5 golds, and American Samoa and Kiribati follow with 4 each. Rounding out the leaderboard, Nauru, Guam, Wallis & Futuna, the Cook Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia have 3 golds apiece. Vanuatu, Tonga, and New Zealand each have 2 golds, while Solomon Islands has secured 1.
Athletes from 23 participating countries have competed across 14 sports, showcasing determination, pride, and resilience. Throughout the past week, they have pushed themselves to their physical and mental limits—striving for personal bests, breaking records, and representing their nations with honor.
