The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) presented its donation of $3,000 to the Belau National Museum (BNM) in support of founding the “Palau Ceramic Art Incubation Project.”

On December 28, 2016, Second Secretary Jerry Liu of Taiwan Embassy delivered the check to BNM Director Olympia Morei at the Palau Ceramic Art Center. With cooperation from the Ministry of Education (MOE) and Palau High School (PHS), this incubation project aims to cultivate young handy talents to make marketable ceramic works. Helene Moros, locally famed for her skills at and passion in ceramic art, will be instructing the students of PHS art class in the next semester.
At the brief hand-over ceremony, Secretary Liu, on behalf of H.E. Ambassador Michael Y. K. Tseng, expressed his great delight in providing the humble support to BNM, while Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs Baklai Temengil, MOE Chief Raynold Mechol and PHS Principal Smyth Rdang all expressed sincere gratitude for the Embassy and their excitement about this new project.
