Taiwan Youth Ambassadors are about to visit Palau for cultural exchange from August 27 to 31, 2018.

A group of 25 talented students selected from different universities in Taiwan will meet with the students of the Palau Community College and Palau High School and will participate in a program prepared by Ebiil Society.

The Youth Ambassadors will learn how to preserve the natural environment through Palauan traditional wisdom.

Taiwan Youth Ambassadors will also hold a Taiwan Night Performance at the Ngarachamayong Cultural Center in the evening of August 29 at 6:30 pm. They will stage drama and dancing performances, themed “Taiwan’s Youth, Citizens of the World”. The event is free for the public to see.

The delegation will also visit some famous cultural heritages in Babeldaob and call on Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) to learn the current agricultural cooperation between Taiwan and Palau.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan) launched the Taiwan Youth Ambassador Program in 2009, aiming to encourage youth participation in the international affairs and to enhance mutual understanding between Taiwan and the countries it pays to visit.

There are altogether three Taiwan Youth Ambassadors delegations this year and each will visit two countries – Palau and Philippines, Solomon Islands and Thailand, and Tuvalu and India-from August 27 to September 6, for 10 days. (PR)
