The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced three major clinics to be conducted in Palau by different medical institutions at the Belau National Hospital from June to August .
A press statement sent by MOH to the media revealed that the Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital (SKH) had already kicked off its dermatology clinic from June 25 until yesterday but other clinics on pulmonary and cardiology are still on-going until July 5.
A pediatric cardiology clinic, a clinic focusing on children’s heart health, will also run from July 15-19. MOH, through the press statement, said that the clinic will offer pediatric cardiology assessment and consultations. The mission will also extend its service to adults with cardiac pacemaker by doing assessment.
The Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, the largest military hospital in Asia and the Pacific Rim, is also going to conduct clinics on Ears, Nose, and Throat (ENT) treatment and on Speech Pathology from July 22 to August 2.
“The clinics will provide assessment, consultations, and treatment for ear problems. Only patients with nose and throat problems will be provided with assessment and consultation,” the press statement read.
Meanwhile, the Tripler Army Medical clinic will also provide assessment to patients of all ages who may be having communication-related problems. (Rhealyn C. Pojas)
