July 31, 2017 (Koror, Palau)  Vice President and Minister of Justice seeks to address challenges facing the Division of Immigration including improving performance.

Meeting with Immigration staff, Vice President Oilouch identified weaknesses within the Division that need improvement.  He also requested feedback from the staff including concerns and issues and suggestions that they had regarding improvement of the Division.


To assist the Ministry in improving the work and performance of the Division, a survey form was provided to all staff to obtain their feedback.  “The valuable feedback is to ensure that the Ministry is focusing its effort in the right arenas that will deliver a defined improvement for the Division and staff,” stated the report from the Ministry of Justice.

According to report from the Office of the Minister of Justice, the meeting was “healthy and fruitful” and they were able to identify measures to implement to improve the Division of Immigration.

As one officer put it, “this is the first time in my 20 years in this job to meet with our Minister and discuss issues and solutions that help improve our relationships and tasks”.

“Good relationship and cooperation between each other, whether it’s in one Division or the Ministry as a whole, will lead to better performance and efficiency,” encouraged Minister of Justice Raynold Oilouch. [/restrict]
