Koror, Palau – On Thursday, September 26, 2024, fire and rescue teams rushed to T-Dock Btelulechang Ongiall after witnesses reported seeing a grey van covered in smoke and flames. The vehicle, recognized by onlookers as belonging to local resident Lisa Sandei, drew immediate concern.

Witnesses at the scene identified a man, Tablau, near the burning van, though Sandei herself was not present. Speculation quickly spread among those gathered, with some suggesting that the van may have caught fire on its own.

Social media quickly became a platform for concerned citizens to express their fears over Sandei’s safety. However, Sandei was quick to respond online, reassuring the public that she was unharmed and safe.

Efforts to reach the Public Information Officer (PIO) of the Bureau of Public Safety for more details about the incident were unsuccessful at the time of this report. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

No injuries have been reported, and fire officials have not yet released further information about the extent of the damage
