$35,000 proposed for inauguration

January 2, 2018 (Koror, Palau) Koror new government will be sworn in this January 9th, 2018 and expected to take office thereafter.
Koror State Government submitted a proposed interim budget of $1.8 million to cover the two months operation (January to February) until the new government take office. Of the funds, $35,000 is budgeted for inauguration and installation of the 11th government.

According to Governor Yositaka Adachi, the budget is based on 2017 annual budget without the appropriations for CIP.
The budget bill calls for $35k for HOTL, $92k for State Legislature, $39k for Administration, $23k for Legal Counsel, $58 for Treasury, $178k for State and Cultural Affairs, $391k for Public Works, $323k for Law Enforcement, $72k for KSPLA, $41k for Planning Commission, $240k for SS, Pension, Insurance and HCF, $179k for program and others and other operating costs of $162k. This amount comes from Koror State local revenue.
