The incoming 13th Aimeliik State government is mostly unchanged, with incumbent Governor Browny Simer keeping his seat and eight (8) out of nine (9) legislators re-elected.

Official results of the 13th Aimeliik State Government General Election confirmed Browny Simer as Governor in the 13th Aimeliik government, Lucio Obakerbau, Siriano Kailang, Larry Mamis, and Scott Weers for the four At-Large seats.  Eric Reklai is re-elected as Imul Hamlet representative, Kolas Eriich as Ngerkeai representative, Leilani Senior as Elechui representative, Kyle Ongesii as Ngchemiangel representative winning as write-in candidate, and Alven Samsel as Medorm representative.

Despite the quiet election and most hamlet seats unchallenged, this 13th government may see major changes, particularly with a consistent majority in the legislature.  The 12th government saw a majority change three (3) years into the term.  That majority was re-elected with a possible additional member, creating a two-thirds majority, enough to override the gubernatorial veto.

Whether any significant changes will occur remains to be seen in next four years.

The 13th Aimeliik State government will be sworn-in on the second Tuesday of December 2023.
