Koror, Palau – A Taiwan – Palau Trade and Cultural Show will be held from July 11-13 at Surangel & Son’s super center.

The Trade & Cultural Show will present 29 Taiwanese companies aiming to promote bilateral economic cooperation such as presenting a platform for business to connect and network including a chance for cultural exchanges. Participating companies include 16 on-site visitors with representatives or products flown in from Taiwan and 13 catalog participants. According to information from Taiwan Embassy, products that will be featured at this show include: solar mounting systems, food processing machinery, diving equipments, energy storage solutions and many more.

The event will begin on July 11 with an opening ceremony at 10AM with the exhibition open till 6PM. The exhibition will take place on the 2nd floor of the super center. The second day July 12 will also have the exhibition including a Night Market and carnival that will take place the same night from 6:30PM – 10PM. The night market, which is done in partnership with Palau Visitors Authority (PVA), will have local vendors including Taiwanse chefs who will be serving classic Taiwanese street food. The night market will be held in the super center’s parking lot. July 13 will be the last day of the event with the exhibition open from 10Am – 6PM.

Taiwan Ambassador Lee said, “The exhibition will be held in Surangel super center because many people visit the super center and also shoppers can check out the exhibition”.

The event was spearheaded by the Embassy of China (Taiwan) in collaboration with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). This will be the 4th such event. The first Taiwan-Palau trade show was held in 2022 and has been held every year since. Last year 2024, the Taiwan-Palau Trade show became Taiwan-Palau Trade & Cultural show to diversify the scope of the event to not only include economic networking but also people to people culture exchange.  By: Eoghan Olkeriil Ngirudelsang
