Vice president praises act as reflection of Palauan culture of care

KOROR, Palau (April 3, 2026) — “Your good deed is a testament to our strong Palauan culture and way of life, to always help those among us who need help the most,” Vice President and Minister of Health and Human Services Raynold Oilouch said Friday, as the Airai Club of Guam donated essential supplies to patients at Palau’s Transition Facility.

The donation was made during a Friday afternoon visit by the Airai Club of Guam, led by President Anemary Rechirei King. Club members were joined by Stephanie Ngirchoimei and Rois Arurang.

The group delivered much-needed items including pillowcases, flat sheets, wipes and disposable bed pads to support patient care at the facility.

Oilouch expressed gratitude on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Human Services, thanking the group for their contribution and time spent visiting patients.

“On behalf of the Ministry of Health and Human Services, I want to convey our heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the Airai Club of Guam for visiting the patients at the Transition Facility with much-needed donations,” Oilouch said. “You make us proud to be Palauans.”
