The Office of the Attorney General continues to pursue cases of alcohol-related driving incidents that continue to pose serious risk to public safety.

Reports obtained from the Supreme Court of the Republic of Palau tell that common traffic offenses were caused by drivers who are controlled by alcohol or drugs and neglecting of traffic rules.

Within the month of October, 3 cases have been reported one of which received three counts of under the influence of alcohol, driving without headlights and a vehicle operating without a license.

The fear of pedestrian and other commuters sharing the road can be fatal because of the over speed that could involve hit and runs causing risk to innocent lives.

The court has been receiving unending cases of new convicts despite the warnings and fines past offenders received.  [/restrict]
