David Whyte says, “The price of, our vitality is the sum of all our fears.”

Some wrote, “Without facing my performance anxiety head-on by being willing to play in front of a crowd, I never would have gotten to experience and appreciate the delight of live performance. Our fears can be a powerful wayfinder.”

Naming and owning the shadows in my subconscious mind had changed the way I think and feel. When I own my mistakes, my weaknesses and my crazy wounded parts they frees me to see life with love and compassion. The most surprising aspect of change in this journey is I’m less critical with myself and others. It has been a continuing process to positively grow in character brick by brick to understand a healthy shame vs toxic shame in myself. Integration work has given me peace with my inner child and has been a great help with the ever ongoing healing process. I remind myself that it’s progress, not perfection.

I tell myself, “Thank you ANXIETY for pushing me to get better in work whether writing or speaking, verbally or non-verbally.  I’m encouraged to study more.

I also thank my fears for encouraging me to read and study in preparation for the next assignment. You reminded me that the fear of shame has been always on my case to do the best of ability and not settle.

Ì forgive those who bullied, criticized and rejected me. Whatever their intentions were I can love them still from where I am, pfree from resentment.

Help us Lord God to understand ourselves so we can grow ìn love and forgiveness.
