Attorney Ngiraikelau to be sworn in as Associate Justice

January 5, 2017 (Koror, Palau) A successful local attorney Oldiais Ngiraikelau, will be sworn –in on Monday, January 6, 2017, as an Associate Justice  to serve on the Trial Division of Palau Supreme Court.

Mr. Ngiraikelau was highly recommended out of the 51 applicants, by Judicial Nominating Commission to President Tommy Remengesau Jr., to the position of an associate justice of Palau Supreme Court.

President Remengesau Jr. appointed him on July 15, 2016 and his appointment was confirmed by the Senate of the 10^th Olbiil Era Kelulau.

Mr. Ngiraikelau has a long and illustrious career in law, particularly known for his extremely successful  record as a criminal defense attorney.

As one of the three newly appointed and confirmed Associate Justices to the Palau Supreme Court, he will serve alongside  Justices Rechucher and Michelsen who were sworn-in  last year as Associate Justices of the Appellate Division of Palau Supreme Court. [/restrict]
