Bank of Guam, the original “People’s Bank,” have supported the Palau International Coral Reef Center PICRC) since 2015. The Bank has made financial and in-kind contributions consistently in support of the Center’s work to fulfil its mission. Additionally, Mr. Matthew Cruz, Vice President/Development & Relationship Manager and previously Palau Branch Manager, serves as a Board Member of PICRC.

Bank of Guam has established itself as a vital financial institution in the region, with strong commitment to the community, through education, health, sports, and the environment. For the environment, in addition to supporting PICRC, Bank of Guam also supports other conservation organizations like Palau Conservation Society and Ebiil Society.
The Bank is also a strong supporter of education. Since 2012, Bank of Guam has paid out $50,000 for its IFIT Scholarship Program in Guam which grants $2,000 scholarships to 5 high school seniors who plan to attend U.S. accredited 4 year college or university. The scholarship also includes a paid summer internship at the Bank’s branches. Moreover, Bank of Guam employees consistently donate to good causes and those in need in the community on a regular basis.
