“When you forgive, you heal. When you let go, you grow” – Anonymous
I was reading when a thought kept on interfering that I had to close the book and asked, “What’s going on?” I thought I forgave that family member who bullied me and shamed me every time he’s around. And hes got audience. I accepted the fact that he just doesn’t like me for reasons I really don’t know. I can accept the fact that there are people who just don’t like me. However I need not be bothered by it. I just want to be free of the memories of the injuries they inflicted in my mind through the years.
I asked God to please heal whatever residue is still there. Deliver me please from remembering. Protect my mind.
I went back to my reading. I forgot about it. That afternoon I recognized that letting his face cross my mind didn’t have the same effect in my emotions. I thanked GOD for completing my forgiveness. WOW IT’S TRUE THAT GOD HEALS OUR HEARTS AND SOULS.
Emotional pain can be buried deep in our unconscious mind. But they cause us to be mean and we say we don’t really mean what we said. We hurt our loved ones and laugh it off as a joke. We claim we were only joking but it wasn’t.
Total Forgiveness explores the Christian concept of total forgiveness, arguing that God’s forgiveness extends to all sins and actions, and that believers are called to forgive others completely, without bitterness or desire for retribution. It emphasizes the freedom and peace that comes with walking in forgiveness, both of others and oneself.
