Interested individuals must meet the following criteria:
• a citizen of Palau and at least 18yrs old;
• must have been producing their art, craft, and music for the past five years;
• must be someone who depends on their art, craft, and music as the primary or supplemental
income for their household;
• must be willing to explore and share ideas with participants of creating quality products.
An information session will be held on June 30 and July 1, 2021 (Wednesday and Thursday), 2 pm-3 pm at the Belau National Museum Café for those who wish to know more about the training. The deadline for all applications is July 2, 2021 (Friday), at the Belau National Museum.
The Belau National Museum is implementing a project on “Inclusive Economic Recovery through Sustainable Enterprises in the Informal Economies of Fiji, Palau, Tonga, and Vanuatu” in partnership with UNESCO. The project aims to strengthen the cultural industries and capitalize on local creative talent through specialized skills transfer, market linkages, and by addressing pre‐existing challenges in the structure and mechanisms of the informal economy.
