Exectuve Director Ms. Michelle Ngirutang accepting the check from  BIOTA representative, Ms. Ordiil Isalias.

On December 1st, 2021, Palau Conservation Society (PCS) received a generous donation of $1,000 from BIOTA, one of it’s long time Corporate Partners for Conservation (CPC). BIOTA is state of the art aquaculture facility located in Ordomel, Airai whichis owned and managed by Mr. Tom Bowling, an Australian Marine Biologist who started the company in 2012.

BIOTA’s vision was to provide alternative solution for acquarium hobbysts that care where their fish come from as well as restocking fish back into the ocean.   BIOTA’s relentless commitment and restoring the ocean is evident in their work in the cultivation and breeding of Rabbit Fish including one of Palau’s endangered species, Bumphead Parrotfish and releasing them back into the wild which is an important step to conservation and food security. Along with many other fish species, they also cultivate clams and corals.

The company is built upon a foundation of sustainable stewardship of safe and enviromentally concious operations and believe in giving back to the community and the ocean.

The PCS board members and staff would like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Bowling and BIOTA in their commitment in biodiversity conservation in Palau and continuing to be a Corporate Partner for Conservation.  Any company or interested individuals wishing to make a donation are encouraged to contact PCS’s Executive Director, Ms. Michelle Ngirutang at 488-3993, or via email at mngirutang@palauconservationsociety.org.
