A Chinese national was being investigated for alleged bribery after he was arrested by the police on May 15.
According to the police, the Chinese national was driving a vehicle and was allegedly over speeding and overtaking other cars along Ernguul Road in front of BOH toward Topside.
The attending police officer then hailed the suspect’s vehicle.
According to the police report, the suspect claimed that he does not speak English and had even offered some money to the police officers who were questioning him.
Police are still conducting follow-up investigation regarding the case.
