A famous Chinese movie star, model and singer Qin Lan has been appointed by President Remengesau as an honorary Goodwill Ambassador for Palau for her interest in promoting conservation and sustainable tourism and in particular, how to bring the Palau Pledge message to China.
In his appointment letter, President Tommy Remengesau Jr. expressed his appreciation to Ms. Lan for the opportunity discuss Palau’s important sustainable development strategies and for her acceptance of the honorary role of promoting Palau’s message across People’s Republic of China and the rest of the world.
“Your background is impeccable and your experience in reaching out to large audiences will surely have significant positive influence in amplifying Palau’s voice in promoting sustainable and responsible tourism development,” stated Remengesau in his appointment.
Ms. Qin Lan has over 500 million followers on her show Travel Channel China. She had starred in number of successful Chinese movies and tv series and was nominated by Asian Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. (L.N. Reklai/Editor)
