We don’t walk away to teach a lesson. We walk away because we finally learned a lesson.
I still remember the day I walked away from an emotional and alcoholic abusive home. I also w
alked away from a religiously abusive organization. I blocked those bullies in internet. I haven’t looked back.
Nearly 80% of domestic violence crimes are related to the use of drugs. When a person abuses drugs, the chemicals in their brain are rewired to seek out the substance, despite any future consequences of their behavior. This can result in irrational, violent or controlling behavior within a relationship
Psychological abuse include:
humiliating you in front of others; calling you insulting names, such as “stupid,” “disgusting,” or “worthless”;
getting angry in a way that is frightening to you;
threatening to hurt you, people you care about, or pets;
The LORD said to those child abusers in Matthew 18:6 that he would be better off with a0 millstone around his neck and go ďrown himself.
A millstone around your neck” is a figurative expression meaning a heavy burden, responsibility, or problem that causes trouble and difficulty to bear. It suggests something that is difficult to escape and makes life burdensome.
The phrase alludes to a literal method of punishment in the Bible (Matthew 18:6) where someone who caused a child to sin would be better off having a millstone tied around their neck and being drowned.
Think before you say something totally wrong to another person.
Hurting people hurt others. Hurting people also choose drugs and alcohol to shut down the noise that are crazy making spouses or primary givers.
Sometimes we need to look in the mirror and pray for the face of the one looking in the mirror.
