And God created dogs (along with all other land animals) on the sixth day of creation, as in Genesis 1:24.

We had a dog named Em.  He was a beautiful dog. He was a good and faithful dog.  He looked like a German Shepherd just a tad smaller.

Em was always on guard.

We also has cats (a whole family of them).  I don’t remember how many was in the family but we had many.  They were busy at night  chasing rodents.  Seemed like the dog chased intruders while the cats chased them mice.

One day I wanted to go to school with my older brother but I was not allowed.  I guess I became difficult.

My father said I could go fishing with him if I stopped crying.  I was happy about that. My mother fixed a lunch basket and we were off.  Before we left my father laid his fishing gears on the floor by the door.  The cats walked to the fishing gears as if they were smelling the fish already.  I was scolding them when father said, “let them – they’re calling for fishes.”  It was an old fish telltale. That was weird to me but we brought home a lot of fish in many colors.

Ma kimerael e loldengelengel mora taoch. We got on a boat and went to the sea behind the rock islands ra Rebai Melachl. He stopped the boat and let the anchor down.  Before he went in the water he told Em to stay in the boat and make sure I was safe.

Em was a faithful dog.  Every time I walk to the edge he would pull me back. Aki mlo choldingel a bub.  He pulled the fish traps one by one  near the bost.  He then let Em go chase whatever in the small island.
