The Embassy of Japan in Palau wishes to announce the 11th Japan Fair scheduled on Sunday, February 14, 2021, at Ngarachamayong Cultural Center from 1:20-4:00pm (Door opens at 1:00pm).
This event is held every year with the aim to promote cultural exchanges and to further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and Palau. Unfortunately, we couldn’t invite guests from Japan due to COVID-19, however, this year various groups consisting of students and Palauan youth groups will showcase their talents with Japanese songs and dances. The performers consist of students of the Palau Japanese Language School, Palau Judo Federation, Palau High School Theatre and Arts Club, Mindszenty High School, Koror Elementary School, Meyuns Elementary School, Weti Weti group and Mr. Beckwin Mechol.
In addition, visitors will have opportunities to experience Japanese culture such as trying-on yukata (summer kimono) and origami (art of folding paper), shodo (Japanese calligraphy), and writing their names in Japanese.
