You have power over your mind  not outside events. – Marcus  Aurelius

What people thIink or say about me is none of my business.

It has taken me years to come to this place. A place where I belong and secure so what you say is really none of my business.  Sometimes even what I say to myself is none of my business too.  Basically the things I say to myself are what were said to me that are demeaning and abusive to my soul.  Yes! They are none of my business.

This place is where self-acceptance lives knowing I’m a created being. Somebody owns me.  It takes a lot of pressure off of me when we put our faith and trust in the Invisible God. In the early days of soul searching and healing and growing, the LORD was in charge. I learned to trust HIM. This is when we really need others to help us grow and mature.  It is a social  process.

One day I was crying for feeling rejected and abandoned. O God please take away this selfish spirit and set me free. Old wounds creeping up to mess with us is almost normal. Old habits die hard.  I asked GOD to help me get over these old patterns of thinking. Days later in my reading, I  came across this text:  “The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17 NIV).

I asked the LORD to explain that verse to me in a way for me to understand, in my own language, please.  These words came to me, “A Rubak el Dios a mengitakl e mengeskes er kau…”  My heart swelled too big for my chest.  I was overwhelmed with joy that God sings a lullaby. I could crawl up on his lap and rest like a baby in his mother’s arms.
