Filipino died after hit by overturning 5-ton forklift

A Filipino died after he was hit by a five-ton forklift that overturned due to heavy load at the Belau Transfer/Sea Port on June 6.

According to police record, a certain James Rdang was allegedly driving the five-ton forklift which overturned upon lifting a heavy load. As the forklift went off balance, it landed on the side where the victim was.

The victim succumbed to major injury on his right thigh and left foot and a major laceration on his head, according to the police.

The victim had been transported to the Emergency Room but was pronounced dead on the same day of the accident.

Police officers are still conducting an investigation on the case.
