A fisherman who is a member of the Northern Reef Fisheries Cooperative has been selected for JICA’s training which is called ‘Sustainable Use of Fisheries Resources through Diversification of Fisheries-based Livelihoods in Small-island States’.

Hadley Renguul, a fisherman, will be introduced to a wide range of measures to promote sustainable use of fisheries resources during the training which includes quality control of fish, processing, marketing, alternative income generation, support of fishers’ organizations and more.

The course will begin in Okinawa on 15th of May and will go on till the 27th of June. The course will be continued in Palau from 27th of June 12th of July thereafter.
