Palau’s former President Johnson Toribiong, who is in Nepal for the Asia Pacific Summit, met Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday, December 1.

In a report by The Kathmandu Post, it was stated that Former President Toribiong met with PM Oli along with two other former state leaders in separate appointments.

Toribiong and the other former leaders reportedly talked about Nepal’s peace process and making the summit prosperous.

Former President Toribiong also discussed with Prime Minister Oli some contemporary political issues of Nepal.

Palau’s former president was also reportedly one of the speakers of the summit during its kickoff activity in Nepal on Saturday, December 1.

The Asia Pacific Summit was participated by around 1,500 participants from 45 countries to tackle global issues in peace, development, good governance, the role of the media, and climate change, among others.

The summit was anchored on the theme “Addressing the Critical Challenges of Our Time: Interdependence, Mutual Prosperity, and Universal Values” and was organized by the South Korea-based Universal Peace Federation. (Rhealyn C. Pojas)
