HAGATNA, 08 FEBRUARY 2021 (GUAM PACIFIC DAILY NEWS) — Four people were elected to serve on the Guam Visitors Bureau board of directors for a two-year term.
The election was conducted virtually through the platform Election Runner.
“The Guam Visitors Bureau values the voices that collectively represent our tourism industry, and we will make sure everyone is heard, especially as we work hard to reopen our island and rebuild our economy during this pandemic,” said Gerry Perez, GVB vice president.
The elected board members are:
*Charles Bell, vice president for operations of DFS T-Galleria;
*Jeff Jones, president and chief operating officer of Triple J Group;
*Ben Ferguson, Pacific Islands Club general manager and P.H.R. Ken Micronesia Inc. senior managing director; and
*Stephen Gatewood, president of SGC, Gatewood Enterprises LLC and Exporta Guam.
The board of directors is comprised of 13 members and one alternate. Four members are elected by the general membership to serve two-year terms. The governor appoints five members, including a Mayors’ Council of Guam representative.
The Legislative Speaker also appoints three members, including one alternate member. One member is selected by at least eight board members to serve two-year terms…. PACNEWS
