Excited students of Gospel Kindergarten (Palau Evangelical Church) took a field trip to the Palau International Airport to experience first-hand the travel procedures when departing and arriving at the airport.  The kindergartners ages three, four, and five years old were ready with their class passports as they checked-in at the United Airlines counter and provided boarding passes.

The group, accompanied by their teachers and parents went through immigration for passport verification stamps and customs for baggage check upon arrival.  A tour of the tarmac gave them the opportunity to get onboard Pacific Mission Aviation’s Cessna aircrafts courtesy of PMA Captain Stephan Schulz.  Palau Mission Aviation kindly provided the kids snacks and beverages while touring the planes. The students also had the rare opportunity of witnessing a helicopter landing and got a chance to get on board the helicopter courtesy of Palau Helicopters Captain Martin Pacheco.

Finishing the tour, each student received a United Airlines limited edition “Ben Flyin” teddy bear and an adventurer passport courtesy of United Airlines.

The students, their parents, and their teachers would like to thank the Palau International Airport Operations Office, United Airlines, Pacific Mission Aviation, and Palau Helicopters for making such a wonderful day possible for the students. [/restrict]
