Attorney General filed felony charges against Loren Reksid Ngirmekur, Jazrea Bells Camacho and Heartman Beches Masami last week for alleged crimes of Robbery in the First Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery in the First Degree.
Charging documents alleged that Mr. Loren Reksid Ngirmekur, Jazrea Bells Camacho and Heartman Beches Masami conspired, planned and executed robbery by threatening Mei Lin Chen, Fan Sheng, Zhang Miao and Xhan Xin with a knife, breaking a window on their rental vehicle, stealing money, property and documents in the presence of victims on March 8, 2018 in Melekeok State.
Officer Recheked M. Recheked reported that on March 8, 2018, the four alleged victims Mei Lin Chen, Fan Sheng, Zhang Miao and Xhan Xin were travelling on a rented red colored Ford Mustang near Babeldoab looking for waterfall when they became lost.
Defendant Loren Reksid Ngirmekur driving a white Mark II vehicle approached the victims and offered to lead them to the waterfall.
According to the report, they stopped at a remote location and other alleged co-defendants Jazrea Bells Camacho and Heartman Beches Masami approached the victims with their faces covered to hide their identities.
Defendant Ngirmekur allegedly armed with machete type knife threatened the victims and took their cellular phones. Defendant Masami reportedly used the golf club to break front passenger window of the Mustang and both Masami and Ngirmekur took two bags from the car, punctured the car tires with the knife and left on the Mark II vehicle.
Victims reported over $1,500 in cash, cellular phones, passports, watches and cameras stolen by the three defendants.
Victims, according to the report, were able to pick out Defendant Ngirmekur from the photo lineup as suspect.
Defendant Ngirmekur was located and interviewed on March 11 and admitted to planning the robbery along with his co-defendants and splitting the cash proceeds of crime with him receiving $600, and the other two co-conspirators receiving $500 each. According to Officer Recheked’s report, he also admitted to throwing other items out the window of the vehicle.
Co-defendants Jazrea Camacho and Heartman Masami were also located and interviewed and allegedly admitted to agreeing to rob the victims and receiving stolen money from the robbery.
Crime of Robbery in the First Degree is a Class A Felony carrying terms of up to 25 years imprisonment and optional fine of up to $50,000. Crime of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery is also a felony, Class B punishable by 10 years of imprisonment and optional fine of $25,000.
