Householder finds old Japanese aircraft bomb in his garden

The Cleared Ground Demining (CGD) Team based on Peleliu was recently called out to an emergency task after a householder who was digging to extend his garden came across a large Japanese 30 kilograms aircraft bomb from WWII.

The bomb, pictured to the right of the team member, was taken away by the team to be destroyed.

The CGD Team activities are being jointly funded by the Republic of Palau and New Zealand Governments. (PR)
