The announcement of the Jellyfish Lake’s recovery was cheered by Taiwanese agents at the International Travel Fair (ITF) in Nangang, Taiwan on November 22, 2018.

Palau Visitors Authority (PVA) Chairman Tmetuchl, Kadoi Ruluked and Chloe Yano traveled to Taipei to attend the ITF on November 22, 2018.

In a dinner hosted by PVA on November 22, 2018, PVA Chairman Ngiraibelas Tmetuchl announced to over 30 Taiwan Tour Agents that he had received official word from Koror State Governor Franco Gibbons explaining the Jellyfish Lake’s healthy, lifting of the BUL by HOTL and officially declaring the Lake open.

The news received a round of applause and according to PVA Representative Alex Lei, “reinvigorated the Taiwanese Tour Agents interest in promoting Palau.” During the same dinner, Chairman Tmetuchl introduced its new Taiwan Representative, Pacific International Group and its President, Mr. Alex Lei. For the first time, Palau will have “boots on the ground” according to
